I have a fun project. I have a 1946 Ford School Bus with a 20 passenger Superior Mfg. Bus body. It currently has a 239 Flat Head on a 1 1/2 ton chassis. I plan on replacing the engine and updating the running gear with more modern items. Anyone out there with experience or ideas, let me know. I welcome any help. More as I progress.

| Well after a year I am finally going out to Colorado to get the BUS. I never could find a company or a person to haul it. So even with the high fuel prices a friend , my son and I are going out on Memorial Day weekend. I already have someone that wants the flathead and is going to swap it for a new dually rear end. I am looking for a front end, not too sure as to what type yet . I had thought about installing a clip out of something. Any suggestions? |

Well I finally got it home. After removing 7 - 55 gallon trash bags of junk out of it, I have started the dismantling process. There is very little rust thankfully. I am taking all of the seats out and removing all of the broken glass , which is a lot of, most of the glass is gone. It will be easy to replace it is all flat and one of our club members owns an Auto glass shop. There are some dents to fix and a hole or two as well, but nothing major yet.
